TIME Magazine has compiled a list of the top 100 most selfie-obsessed places in the world, with Makati City — the financial centre of the Philipines — ranking first as The Selfie Capital.

Data was collected by downloading photos on Instagram tagged ‘selfie’ that featured geographical location. A total of 459 cities were ranked around the world with over 400,000 selfies collected over all.

So, how did America do? Manhattan and Miami followed Makati City, closely placing second and third on the list. All together USA-based cities appear on the top 100 list 26 times. Check out the list below to see if you live in one of the USA’s most selfie-obsessed places:

3. San Francisco, US: 91 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

Rubik’s Cube champion Kevin Hayes has apparently decided that simply solving the colorful cubes at remarkable speed is not enough. Hayes may have set the record for solving a 6×6 in 1:40.86, but he had to go and turn it up a level. Here he is solving 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4 cubes while underwater for over a minute.

Magic Of Rahat usually shares elaborate pranks that end in a lot of confused laughter. However, in his most recent YouTube video, Rahat shares a stunt that will give you lots of warm fuzzy feelings.

Having let a store clerk in on the prank beforehand and giving him $1,000, Rahat then gives a “winning lottery ticket” to a local homeless guy. The guy’s reaction after he “wins” is so lovely, he even offers to share his winnings.

Whilst visiting the local Cracker Barrel, 8-year-old Myles Eckert of Ohio found $20 in the parking lot. As most kids would, Myles instantly began to think of ways he could spend his $20 and decided he would probably buy a video game. Instead, Myles saw a soldier sitting in the restaurant and decided to give the $20 to him wrapped in this note,

Dear Soldier,

 

My dad was a soldier. He’s in heaven now. I found this $20 in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It’s your lucky day! Thank you for your service.

Myles’ father Sergeant Andy Eckert had died whilst serving in Iraq when the boy was just five-weeks-old. Having heard stories of his father’s bravery and that of other soldiers fighting in far off countries, Myles thought the money would be better spent on paying back Lt. Colonel Frank Daly. Daly has since used the note to inspire others across America and says that Myles has given him a “lifetime direction.” Watch the full coverage from CBS Evening News below.

Sea Lions do not get enough attention, which is a shame considering how awesome this one is. Alex, a seven-year-old boy diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome was at the zoo with his family when Sophie the sea lion started following the boy around. The two played for a couple of minutes, with Alex running back and forth in front of the tank as Sophie followed, before Alex exclaimed he was having the best time of his life.

Alex’s mom, Jennifer Bittner, told Fox 5,

“It was amazing to witness the connection that the beautiful creature and my son seemed to share.”

And then my heart melted and I am now planning to go to the zoo as soon as possible.
