My impression was initially positive. I loved all the trees and greenery. I thought the mansions of Greenwich were fantastic. I had not yet formed an opinion of its people. Over the years I have discovered its people to be strange, unfriendly, and insular and they all appear to march to the same drummer in terms of mannerisms, fashion, and either snobbish or bored facial expressions. Over the course of my stay here I have not developed a single friendship. People here are either small town/small minded or big money/big ego snobs. There is a sameness and the constant din of conformity that can be very unpleasant to someone like myself accustomed to casual, friendly people of Southern California where I grew up and spent most of my life along with a few intervening years in Las Vegas before trekking to Connecticut. I regret moving here mostly because the people are so damn weird!
