Marriott’s New App Allows Professionals To Book Workspace
The way people work is changing. Today, 1.2 billion people are mobile workers, seeking out data connections at local cafes, airports and hotels. Marriott has recognized that trend and together with workspace booking app LiquidSpace has launched a new service for mobile professionals—Workspace on Demand.
The app enables anyone to book available work or meeting spaces at a moment’s notice—just as they would book a hotel room. The spaces are easy to find and book using the app, which lets users search for participating Marriott, Renaissance and Courtyard hotels by state.
Currently beta testing, more than 30 U.S. hotels are participating in the program, offering price options ranging from free community tables and media pods to boardrooms booking at $75 an hour of $200 for a half-day.
While the majority of participating hotels are currently in the Washington, D.C. and San Francisco areas, the current test also includes a small number of spaces in Atlanta, St. Louis, Houston, and Redmond, Wash.
